Are you looking to unleash your creativity?Â
Do you have a story within you that has been lurking and knocking about for years, poking you to get written?Â
If the answer to both questions is YES! Look no further than Unlocking Your Story, offered by Kristen Kindoll. The one-on-one guidance is to provide a concrete framework to get ideas from your mind onto the page, all focused towards your ultimate goal (finished story, book, or memoir).
The Welcome letter and corresponding questionnaire will begin your Odyssey; it will help me prepare a plan to actualize your writing dreams. The first meeting will establish an overview to unleash your creativity and get it on the page. I will follow up with check-in correspondences (by indicating your preference, whether by email or text). We will meet again in a month to reinforce your progress.
The two-months of meetings are to establish a routine for your writing practice. Scientific data illustrates that a routine needs time to integrate into your life to become a successful habit.
A hallmark 2009 study on habit creation found that habits developed in a range of 18 to 254 days; participants reported taking an average of about 66 days to reliably incorporate one of three new daily activities—eating a piece of fruit with lunch, drinking a bottle of water with lunch or running for 15 minutes before dinner. Consistent daily repetition was the most significant factor influencing whether a behavior would become part of an automatic daily routine. (How are habits formed: Modeling habit formation in the real world, October 2010, European Journal of Social Psychology)
One of the critical features of Unlocking Your Story is the emphasis on enjoying the learning process. Writing takes dedication and time, and you must relish the journey to stay on course. I will provide fun exercises to keep you focused on the finish line.
So, if you are ready to answer the call that keeps nudging you, consider enrolling in Unlocking Your Story today. You won't just get that story inside of you out on paper - you'll discover a new passion for the written word.
